Getting Closer To The Stars

We have always been obsessed with the planets and the stars and knowing more about them. It has long been mans dream to visit space to see all the things we see in the sky and to see them up close. While there were Moon expeditions decades ago, we have not been able to fulfill our dream. There have been too many obstacles.

There have been so many books and movies that depict easy space travel, space stations to live on and other fantastical ideas that real space travel is one of those things that always seems just beyond reach. The real problem is visiting all those other places little things like warp speeds and the speed of light. IN other words, we would have to build a super highway of sorts before we could even think about that kind of travel and in the various atmospheres and traveling at the speed of light, we would have no control over the space crafts. Add things like worm holes and other pesky physics problems and it becomes easy to see why the whole notion may remain a dream a good while longer. Those worm holes would be physically impossible to travel through with the scientific information we currently possess. As of now, if we tried we would fall through black holes and survival as we know it would be impossible. So until we work out a way to control conditions and time speeds in space, theres really no point in dreaming about space travel as we have always thought it might be.

For now, we will simply have to rely on images from space and, of course, on science fiction versions of how it might be.
